The water check does not ask for your name, phone number, email or address. Its answers remain in this browser tab’s session storage so you can reload the page. They are not sent to Clearstep, a service provider or an analytics vendor by this release. Start a new check to replace them; closing the tab normally clears this storage, though browser session restoration may retain it.
Website delivery
The hosting provider processes network information, such as your IP address and requested page, to deliver and protect the website. This is distinct from your water-check answers. Cloudflare privacy information.
Links and contact
External source links lead to sites with their own privacy practices. If you email the operator, your email provider and the recipient process that message. Clearstep does not record calls or collect contact details through a lead form. The optional water-damage referral checks your ZIP code in your browser without storing or sending that ZIP to Clearstep. If you choose to call, your phone connects to ResultCalls; the network receives your caller information and the details you provide and may record the call under its policies and notices. Clearstep does not automatically send your water-check answers. Hosting analytics may process page visits separately from your answers. Ask ResultCalls about its privacy practices before sharing sensitive information.
Understanding how the site works
We record page labels, selected navigation clicks, coverage-check outcomes and clicks on the call button, along with recognized marketing campaign labels. We also measure scroll milestones, active-time milestones, whether coverage and call controls are visible, and coarse mouse-movement and click/tap areas on a ten-by-ten page grid, separated by mobile or desktop layout. Position tracking excludes form controls and the water-check questionnaire. We do not make visual session recordings, capture screen contents, or collect typed text. Tab-hidden events and last recorded positions are clues about engagement, not proof of why someone left. A random identifier in session storage connects these steps for up to 30 minutes; it is not a name or a cross-site advertising identifier. We do not include your entered ZIP, water-check answers, contact details, full URLs or IP address in this event log. Cloudflare hosts this data for us, and its network processing is separate. Reports cover the last 30 days; older events are removed when new events arrive. Access is restricted to our hosting account. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals for this measurement. A call-button click does not confirm a connected or paid call. Coverage checks and calling still work if measurement is blocked or unavailable.
Future changes
Before adding analytics, provider connections or new collection, this notice and any needed consent controls must reflect the actual service.
